Prototype of a wind turbine generator of 750 Kw

In December 2005 the prototype WPR 750/48, developed by Sistemi Elettronici, a branch of the Moncada Group, was installed in the wind farm on Monte Mele (Ag).

It is a prototype of a wind turbine generator of 750 kW using direct drive technology. Direct drive technology yields a higher transformation of wind kinetic energy into mechanical energy and consequently electrical power to the generator.

Taking into account the positive results obtained from the trial period which verified the worthiness of the project it has been decided to commence manufacture of wind turbine generators of 850 kW, WPR 850/58, technical characteristics are available on the web site.
