The Moncada Group is in possession of a project to build a geothermal electrical power plant on the Island of Pantelleria in collaboration with Geotermica S.r.l. of which the Group is the holding company.

Research is already under way to locate the best positions for the extractor wells and to analyse the energy produced. Each extractor well will reach a depth of 1000 metres and will be equipped in a way that allows for eventual injecting back.

Once drilling has been completed (first 6 months of 2008) it will possible to quantify the geothermal power obtained, estimated at 2,5 MW, and to evaluate the most productive and the characteristics of the existing fields and therefore proceed with the completion of the geothermoelectrical power plant.
