Costruzioni Moncada, a branch of the Moncada Group has begun the conversion of an disused industrial site, situated in Porto Empedocle, into a factory that will manufacture wind turbine generators, the blades and support towers (the Group is the only aerogenerators manufacturer) and build a hub for the storage of biocombustible liquids.

They will also build a hub for the storage of biocombustible liquids. Work will be completed by spring 2008.

Up to 2011 the prevision is to produce 100 wind turbine generators WPR 850/58 per year to be installed on the wind farms of the Moncada Group.

In the near future the manufacture of other models of wind turbine generators of 2 MW, 20 kW and 1,5 kW will begin. These are, at the moment in the process of planning and design.
